After a couple of decades in the online gaming industry, it is sometimes the little things that can be the most noticeable. In the case of Betspin, we were immediately drawn in by a very modern website design. It is too easy for sites to follow the same “cut and paste” model, especially if there is more than one brand being managed by the same company. Moving past the initial design, we took a long look at Betspin to see if it had what we want to see before considering at a recommended casino.
Company Background
Betspin is another brand from the MT Securetrade group out of Malta. This is good news for potential players – these guys have a good sense of how to run a casino and have been running multiple brands for many years. This casino launched in 2015, and is under the Master Licenses that MT Securetrade has from the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority. AS both of these regulators require licensees to be transparent about their business practices, we feel that your money will be very safe with this brand.
Many countries have landed on the restricted list for this casino. While we won’t list them all here (you can find the full list on the Terms and Conditions page of the website), more notable countries who cannot access the real money games include the United States, Portugal, and South Africa.
The Casino Games
The MT Securetrade group are tied to the Gaming Innovation Group, who have built an excellent back-end platform that allows for casinos to manage multiple software partners from one centralized location. This is in full effect at Betspin, and with that, we see software from the following vendors at this casino:
- Betsoft
- Evolution Gaming
- Genii
- Microgaming
- NetEnt
- Pragmatic Play
- Play N Go
- Quickspin
- Red Tiger
- Yggdrasil
Once we created an account, we headed right for the Table Games – our reviewers tend to enjoy those games more than slots on the whole. We found ourselves a bit disappointed in the overall number of Table Games in the lobby. It seems the site is far more focused on the slots catalog. While the games we did find like Blackjack and Roulette had excellent graphics, we would have liked to have seen more overall selection. This is amplified for players in certain countries who may not see the full list of games based on restrictions from the individual software companies.
Well, we needed a little cheering up, so we went over to the Slots Tab – there are actually multiple tabs which highlight the most recently added games, the progressive jackpots and the games the casino is featuring this month. For us, whenever we come across the Mega Moolah game from Microgaming, we have to give it a try as it features a seven-figure jackpot prize! Overall, within the hundreds of titles, you will find some great content from the different providers.
Mobile Compatibility
The homepage of the website tells us that we can access the games from our mobile devices, which gave us hope of a potential native app. However, it would appear that the only way to play the Betspin games from your tablet or phone is via the browser on your device. That’s fine because these days most games have been configured for play on the smaller screens without compromising the quality of the graphics or gameplay.
The Welcome Bonus
MT Securetrade runs many brands, and while this could cause some complacency when it comes to promotions, we are pleased to see a slightly different Welcome Bonus for each of the brands we have reviewed. At Betspin, the Welcome Bonus is split over your first four deposits as follows:
1st Deposit: 200% up to €50 and 150 free spins over 5 days
2nd Deposit: 50% up to €50
3rd Deposit: 50% up to €100
4th Deposit: 50% up to €200
We dug into the Terms and Conditions to see what pitfalls may be waiting for us. What we found was that if you live in one of the following countries, you do not qualify for any bonuses at all: Poland, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Ukraine, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Russia, Czech Republic, Portugal, Slovakia, Latvia, and Thailand. Furthermore, the wagering requirement for this Welcome Bonus is 35x, which is a standard amount.
The Payment Options
While the list of payment options isn’t as plentiful as some of the other MT Securetrade casinos, it would appear that the site doesn’t need any more than the ones they offer. As for withdrawals, we always recommend that you use an e-wallet as these tend to pay the players the fastest.

The VIP Program
There isn’t a VIP Program to speak of at Betspin. However, all real money players earn loyalty points when they are playing games. These points can be used in the Market to purchase bonuses and Free Spins, so at least there is some way of trying to encourage loyalty amongst the player base. We are a bit surprised that more effort hasn’t been put into a VIP program, but we suspect that if you are a big enough player, you will receive direct communication from the site.
The Support Department
Following in the footsteps of the modern website design, the Customer Service at BEtspin has some non-traditional options as well. There is no telephone number that we could find, but the site does have a Facebook page, and these tend to be the new way for a site to do front-line customer service. You can also contact the site directly via Live Chat on the website, which will get you the answers you need to your questions in real time. Email is also an option, although you can expect this to be the slowest method to get your issues dealt with.
Conclusion
We are happy that the site is more than just nice web design, and actually provides some excellent gaming experiences for players. However, compared to some of the other MT Securetrade brands, we think that Betspin is missing some key pieces. The VIP Program is either non-existent or very subjective. The bonuses are nice, and the site has a lot of excellent software partners, but the lack of options in the Table Games area is a bit of a disappointment. We won’t tell you not to play at Betspin, but we think if you are Table Games player you may want to look at some of the other reviews about sites managed by this parent company.
